GLAS Custom 61/62' Telecaster light relic with Custom grey Tweed G&G case. Hand made right here in glorious L.A.
This is a riff on a late 61 early 62 traditional pre CBS telecaster with a light "almost" case queen but played vibe.
Fender 60's soft V maple neck is a 9.5 radius with hand rolled Med jumbo frets for a vintage feel but modern functionality, neck is brand new but aged to show the years of light play wear. No heavy pitting on the fret board just some nice aging and strum wear. Finished in a amber nitro and worked from 4-5000 grit and has a satin finish. Has vintage aged klusons tuners and the period correct decal, string tree and a hand finished bone nut. Looks old, feels broken in but plays like new. Neck pockets as tight as they come and it plays itself..
Fender 2 piece alder body is a lovely 2 tone burst and weighs a perfect 7.6 lb, with all factory neck humbucker routing, bottom truss rod routing and 50s' pickup mounting if any additional mods were required. Cream plastics have been lightly aged, as have the controls and hardware. Brass rolled saddles in a ash try bridge top it off. Unlike most of our customs we kept it all pretty light and clean on this bad boy. Got some light accents here and there but we really went for a one owner from new, big but light player that looked after the axe better than his wife!
Comes equipped with the best of components- hand wired with CS Texas specials, full vintage wiring, CTS 450G 250 audio taper pots, Fender 3 way switch and swtchcraft jack and a .022 orange drop cap, modern wiring set up but with the classic materials. This guitar plays and sounds like a million bucks. We could not have been happier with how she turned out- really is a superb Tele...just look at her!
Topped off with a grey tweed red lined G&G case, not much more can be said....
Whether you like them or hate them, these custom builds take a huge amount of time and effort, please appreciate the lengths that are gone to and the time this takes to create theses guitars. Why spend 2-3 times the amount on a custom shop when you can get this one for less !
Guitars been completely set up from top to bottom with 9-42's and is ready for its new owner. Guitar is playing like hot butter. Killer axe and the perfect weight, plays like absolute butter this one.
