Here we have a custom-built Fender Stratocaster featuring a genuine Fender alder body finished in classic 3-Tone Sunburst paired with a Fender Classic Series 70s-style maple neck. This guitar was originally built for a customer back in 2023 but was recently traded back in to us towards their new Glas custom build. It combines premium Fender components with expert luthiery to deliver a Strat that plays, feels, and sounds like a true pro-level instrument.
The body is a Fender factory alder 3-Tone Sunburst with classic contours and vintage-correct routing, showing some light play wear across the finish and a small paint chip at the butt end – hard to see but noted for full transparency. The electronics are from a 2016 Fender Road Worn 60s Strat, providing authentic vintage Strat tones with aged Alnico pickups, CTS pots, and cloth wiring harness for that open, articulate sound.
The neck is a genuine Fender Classic Series 70s maple Stratocaster neck with a brass nut upgrade for enhanced sustain and tuning stability. It features a classic 4-bolt heel attachment for solid resonance and stability. The maple has a beautiful light flame figuring that subtly catches the light, adding a touch of understated elegance to the classic 70s look. The neck has been professionally fret-leveled, crowned, and polished, making it an absolute dream to play. The frets are flawless with no visible wear, and the truss rod is fully functional with smooth adjustment. The nut width is 1.65 inches (42mm), the neck profile is a comfortable 70s “U” shape with a nice chunky feel, and the fingerboard radius is vintage-correct 7.25 inches. Neck thickness measures approximately 0.860 inches at the first fret and 0.910 inches at the twelfth fret.
The guitar weighs in at a perfect 7.8 lbs, making it light on the shoulder and perfectly balanced for long sessions. It’s set up with 9–42 strings, with action dialed in low and fast – she plays like hot butter with effortless bends and slick runs up the board. The tremolo is blocked for a fixed-bridge setup, giving you rock-solid tuning stability while preserving classic Strat resonance.
Cosmetically, the guitar is in clean overall condition with only minor signs of handling: faint swirling, light pick wear on the guard, and the aforementioned small chip at the body butt. The finish retains its deep gloss and looks stunning under stage lights.
It comes with an SKB molded hard case, clean and free of cracks or repairs, keeping it fully protected on the road or in the studio.
This custom Strat plays beautifully and sounds killer. The combination of the lively alder body, 70s maple neck with brass nut and 4-bolt construction, subtle flame figuring, and vintage-voiced Road Worn pickups delivers everything you’d want from a great Strat: snap, chime, warmth, and clarity with superb playing comfort. It’s the kind of Strat that inspires riffs as soon as you pick it up.
At GG, every guitar we list goes through a full service and professional setup – no surprises, no compromises. This one is clean, fully dialed in, and ready for the next chapter with a player who’ll appreciate a meticulously built Strat that feels like an old friend from the first note.
