The neck is Gibson’s slim taper profile, measuring 0.810” at the 1st fret and 0.875” at the 12th fret. It’s paired with a rich rosewood board and medium jumbo frets that show little to no wear. No cracks, no repairs—just a smooth player that’s been well cared for. The truss rod is healthy, the nut’s original, and the frets are polished up and ready to go. Headstock has a few knicks and top layer scratches but nothing out of the ordinary. This axe plays effortlessly with a nice super low action.
The finish is that classic gloss ebony—mirror-like and super clean, with only the faintest signs of light playwear under direct light. Got a few little dents to note but nothing major. The rear has a little nitro burn mark from the stand it was on, hard to see out the light. Overall the body is in great shape front and back. It weighs in at a featherlight 6.6lbs, perfectly valences and perfect for an SG—resonant, snappy, and light on the shoulder. It’s loaded with the stock 57’ humbuckers, which are super versatile—thick and warm at the neck, bright and biting at the bridge. It covers everything from clean chime to full-blown rock punch.
All the electronics are stock and untouched, with full-size pots and a traditional SG layout. The chrome hardware is clean and shiny, and the keystone tuners hold tune like champs. No mods, no weirdness—just a clean, no-nonsense rocker in its original form. The black-on-black vibe is tough to beat.
