Can’t get enough of these Firebirds—stellar axes with all the MOJO. This Gibson 2013 '70s model, with its mini humbuckers, is 100% original and comes from a smoke-free studio here in LA.
The '60s slim-taper neck is killer, crack-free, and in great shape aside from a few minor top-layer marks. It’s free of cracks and repairs, has had a full fret level, crown, and polish, and plays like butter. The truss rod is tight, and the dark fingerboard is a beauty. What more could you ask for?
The mahogany body is feather-light at only 7.2 lbs, and boy, does this thing sing! It sounds wild with the mini humbuckers and kills it across the board. Very clean overall, with clear hardware and some light top-layer scratches. There’s one 3–5mm indent on the top curve and a small nick on the bottom curve—barely noticeable. The rear is excellent, with some light scratches and a few small marks on the top rear curve. These satin finishes are super thin to maximize resonance. There’s also a small 5mm chip near the strap button. It’s a 9/10 in condition; though we’ve listed it as very good, it’s really excellent—and what an axe, man!

Set up with 9-42s, this is by far the best '70s tribute model we’ve had. The tone is incredible! It plays like creamy butter and is lightning fast. We can’t say enough about this one—it’s just got that magic!
