Crazy cool Glas Customs build from our Golden Era Collection — this time inspired by one of the most iconic Stratocasters ever to grace a stage. Taking its cues from the legendary Olympic White Strat famously played by Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock in 1969, this build captures the unmistakable look, feel and soul of the era while incorporating subtle modern refinements where they genuinely improve the playing experience.
Every Glas Golden Era build begins with genuine Fender components before being carefully upgraded with the finest boutique hardware and electronics available. Every instrument is built completely by hand in Los Angeles over approximately four to six months, with every detail individually relic'd, checked, assembled, wired and professionally setup before leaving our workshop.
Finished in beautifully aged Olympic White nitro, the body features authentic checking throughout, creating the appearance of a guitar that's spent decades on stage while remaining structurally brand new. Once the relic work is complete, every finish is UV bombed, accelerating the natural aging process while promoting authentic checking and subtle ambering that gives each instrument its own unique vintage character. The relic work is subtle, believable and designed to continue looking natural for years to come. Weighing a perfectly balanced 7.8 lbs alder, this Strat feels incredibly comfortable on the shoulder and rings acoustically with outstanding resonance before it's even plugged in.
The genuine Fender maple neck features a period-correct late-'60s decal, vintage-style F tuners and our signature Glas branded neck plate, complete with its own unique Glas serial number. Like every Golden Era build, the neck pocket fit is exceptionally tight, maximizing vibration transfer between the neck and body for exceptional resonance and sustain.
Modern functionality has been carefully incorporated without compromising the vintage aesthetic. The neck features a comfortable '60s C profile, a modern 9.5" radius, 22 jumbo frets, hand-rolled fingerboard edges, a hand-shaped nut and professionally dressed and polished frets. Every neck is carefully finished by hand to deliver the broken-in feel of a well-played vintage instrument while offering the consistency and reliability expected from a modern boutique build.
Electronics are where this guitar truly comes alive.
Loaded with a boutique set of hand-wound Arcane Inc. '69 pickups, widely regarded as some of the finest late-'60s Strat recreations available today, they deliver everything from shimmering late-'60s Strat chime to rich, singing lead tones with exceptional clarity and balance across all five positions.
They're paired with premium components throughout, including:
- CTS matched 450G potentiometers
- Full vintage cloth wiring
- Tone Pros output jack
- Genuine vintage 1960 KBG USSR 0.025μF paper-in-oil capacitor — not a reissue
- Wired throughout using genuine vintage solder
Every connection is carefully soldered, inspected and tested by hand before final assembly, ensuring exceptional reliability while remaining faithful to the spirit of the original late-'60s instruments.
Hardware has been tastefully relic'd throughout, while the vintage-spec 56mm tremolo bridge has been professionally decked flat using all five springs for outstanding tuning stability and enhanced resonance. The tremolo arm is included, allowing players to enjoy classic expression while retaining a solid, dependable feel.
Finished with an aged mint green pickguard and matching parchment plastics, every detail works together to create the unmistakable appearance of a beautifully preserved late-'60s Strat.
The guitar is professionally setup with 9–42 strings, low action and flawless intonation. It feels broken-in from the very first chord—fast, effortless and incredibly expressive. Quite simply, it plays every bit as good as it looks.
Now — relics aren't for everyone. But these builds aren't museum clones. They're made to riff on the golden era with purpose: vintage tone, old-school look, and high-performance reliability. Every piece is assembled by hand, every detail reviewed and tested before it leaves our shop. From the UV bombed finish and authentic checking to the vintage wiring, vintage solder, hand-finished nut work and effortless playability, this is a boutique-grade Strat built for serious stage and studio work.
