Here we have a Fender Stratocaster Plus from the iconic 1996 anniversary year, finished in beautifully aged Vintage White over a solid alder body with contoured edges. This guitar has been a true workhorse session player here in Los Angeles, number one for its previous owner, and has graced countless recording sessions and live dates across the city. It’s also one of the best Strat Plus guitars we’ve ever had come through the shop – an absolute standout in tone, feel, and vibe.

The body is finished in original Vintage White, naturally mellowed over time to a classy cream hue. It’s paired with a maple neck and fingerboard, offering that classic Strat balance of snap and warmth. The neck profile is a comfortable modern C, measuring approximately .820 inches at the first fret and .870 inches at the twelfth fret, with a 9.5 inch fingerboard radius and a nut width of 1.6875 inches. The neck shows extensive play wear and light lacquer checking that only add to its vibe, and it’s been fully fret dressed and polished – ready to keep tracking and gigging without missing a beat. This level of natural play wear on the neck is the ultimate proof of what a great player this guitar is.

This Strat Plus comes loaded with its original set of Gold Lace Sensor pickups, which are the highly coveted “666” serial series. These pickups are known for their wide tonal range and reduced noise, offering exceptional clarity and articulation. Pickup readings are approximately 5.8k across all three positions, delivering that signature Strat sparkle and chime with the added benefit of the TBX tone circuit for extra versatility. Whether you’re after warm rounded cleans or sharp cutting leads, this setup delivers it all effortlessly. The electronics remain original with a 5-way selector, master volume, and two tone controls.

Hardware is original throughout, featuring the Fender Deluxe 2-point synchronized tremolo bridge with tremsetter for stable return to pitch, the Roller Nut, and locking tuners for rock-solid tuning even with aggressive trem use. The trem action is smooth and stable, ideal for both subtle vibrato and wide bends. The guitar weighs in at a comfortable 8 lbs 2 oz, perfectly balanced on a strap or sitting down.

Cosmetically, this guitar carries its life story proudly – marks, chips, and scratches throughout from decades of dedicated session use, giving it that unmistakable relic’d mojo without a factory relic price tag. The pickguard was swapped in the late 90s along with the rear cover, but aside from these cosmetic changes, the guitar remains all original with no repairs or structural modifications. Frets show only light crowning with loads of life left, and the hardware is clean overall. Rated a solid 9 out of 10 for condition considering its age and history, this guitar has always been stored in a humidity-controlled environment and maintained to a professional standard.

It comes with an upgraded high-quality tweed hard case and case candy included, offering durable protection while matching the guitar’s classic aesthetic.

This Strat Plus plays like a dream and sounds every bit as good as it looks. The combination of its lively alder body, seasoned rosewood board, and those coveted “666” serial Gold Lace Sensor pickups delivers rich, articulate tones with exceptional clarity and character. It’s set up with 9–42 strings and has a super fast-playing neck with low action and perfect intonation – exactly what you’d expect from a guitar that’s spent its life in pro studios and stages.

At GG, every guitar we list goes through a full service and professional setup – no surprises, no compromises. This one is clean, fully dialed in, and ready for the next chapter with a player who’ll appreciate the tone, history, and proven track record of an instrument that has truly done it all.
